Two Pieces I (excerpt)
stop motion animation, 2023
This work is comprised by two parallel screens, each showing a distinct three-minute video. The inspiration for this stop-motion came from a poem by Celia Dropkin, “My Hands” , which investigates the experience of NYC through the experience of the body and of sexual desire-in a tongue foreign to the city: Yiddish. The hands in the poem are transformed from familiar, everyday objects to uncanny objects of abject desire. The transformation of the image via the technic of stop motion refers to this metamorphosis enacted in the poem.

Only When I'm Beautiful
Ink on paper, glass 17*24 cm
A detail from an etching series
June 2020
These prints are inspired by family photos from which a person was removed. The glass reframes a new image and draws attention to what is included in the frame and what’s not.

Ink on paper, glass 17*24 cm. A detail from an etching series June 2020
These prints of landscapes are inspired by a silhouette of a family photo from which a person was removed. A dreamy landsacape apears instead of the missing part.
